Interactivity Research Grants: How to Apply
Proposal requirements
Your proposal must include, at minimum, the following:
- A 1–3 page summary of the project, in English, explaining the research agenda and timeline (up to 6 months) including milestones and deliverables.
- A 1 page budget, detailing how funds would be spent.
- A list of the principal investigator(s) (PIs) and expected contributors with their CVs attached.
- Location and organizational details including tax ID and admin contact information if applicable.
- Primary contact email address.
Application process
Please send proposal materials to [email protected].
- Deadline for submission: June 19, 2026 at 11:59 PM PDT.
- We will review proposals within 1 week after the submission deadline.
Selection criteria
Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Relevance: How directly does the proposal address important problems in multimodal or real-time interactivity? A project need not cover every aspect of real-time audio, vision, or output, but it should engage meaningfully with a substantive subset.
- Feasibility: How likely is the project to succeed given the proposed plan, resources, and team?
- Construct validity: For evaluation-focused proposals, how well do the proposed metrics actually capture the capabilities they claim to measure?
- Simplicity and generality: How easy is the method or evaluation to implement, reproduce, and apply across different settings?
Timeline
- Accepted proposals will be awarded the full $100k within 30 days after the proposal is accepted and completed tax and wire detail forms are sent.
- We will work together for up to 6 months providing model access and support along the way, with scheduled check-ins tailored to your timeline.
